Me -

At the core of my artistic practice is illustration, from which ​i view themes of race, isolation, the mundane, memory and the intricacies of mental health. Poetry and writing intersects with these concepts to create a discourse of thought and individual experiences with an attempt to express these lived moments to the audience. Faces or 'characters' are a reoccuring visual with the different pieces acting as a reimagining of myself, absrtacting my realistic form. 

 

Despite its grounding, the multimedia nature of producing work is important to me as an expansion and disemination of the initial ideas. I try to use this as a tool to challenge my own perceptions when it comes to the expression and consumption of artworks.
